Bio

After graduating with a BFA in Studio Art from Texas A&M University - Commerce, I have traveled the world painting murals and doing freelance illustration and design. In 2016, while still on the road, I established Hare Brush, Inc - an art and design company - with my husband and partner, Sam England. As many have during the pandemic, we have recently returned home and now create out of our small cabin studio in the deep oak woods of East TX.

With a reverence for the divine in nature—I seek communion with both the spiritual and material worlds. Combining magical, dreamlike, and mystical concepts in otherwise naturalistic scenes and landscapes, I often tackle themes of life, death, peace, and suffering. You will also find me painting playful and lighthearted depictions of various creatures, alongside more studious and meticulous botanical illustrations. Sacred plants and fungi frequently serve as inspiration and feature prominently in my subject matter. These substances give us unparalleled access to other realms and altered states, acting as catalysts for healing our spirits, cultivating our compassion, and broadening our consciousness.

Some of my favorite things are reading science fiction, camping trips in places that are less hot, mushroom foraging, and spending quality time with my geriatric cat, Gordon.
